Project Consultation

Service Description

The first step in any of our interior design projects is for clients to meet with Leigh-Ann in person. This consultation usually takes 60 to 90 minutes and helps to establish a relationship and rapport between the client and Leigh-Ann, and to discuss and agree the scope of the project. Preparing for the consultation In preparation for the meeting, it is helpful if clients email House of Design with details of floor plans or architectural plans that they may have. Depending on the size and scope of the project, if plans aren’t available measurements may be take on site as part of the initial consultation visit, or a full survey may be organised. During the first meeting The initial consultation is the client’s opportunity to share their vision, ideas and requirements with Leigh-Ann, and to ask any questions to help them understand the process. Leigh-Ann will try to learn about the client’s personality, lifestyle, tastes and style preferences. Leigh-Ann will listen carefully to each client’s ideas, inspirations and practical requirements and ask for clippings, images and inspirations that they may like to share with her. Leigh-Ann will introduce some of her own ideas and suggestions in order to gauge client’s preferences and formulate the design brief. Following the meeting Following the meeting, Leigh-Ann sends the client a detailed proposal for the work. Depending on the size and scope of a project, there may be several further meetings to explore and develop a full brief for the project.
